Na terça-feira, Toronto teve a sua maior participação de eleitores para o primeiro dia da votação antecipada, de acordo com os dados divulgados pela cidade.
A cidade indicou que 28.046 pessoas votaram naquele dia – mais do que as 16,000 que apareceram durante os seis dias de votação antecipada, durante a última eleição municipal, em 2010.
Incluindo os totais de fim de semana, cerca de 77 mil compareceram para o voto antecipado, há quatro anos.
A votação antecipada para a eleição de 2014 vai decorre até sexta-feira na Câmara Municipal e até domingo, das 10:00 às 19:00 horas, num local em cada um dos 44 distritos eleitorais.
Os eleitores devem levar os seus cartões de informação de eleitor e identificação com o seu nome e endereço em Toronto.
As urnas eleitorais vão estar abertas das 10:00 às 20:00 horas, no dia da eleição, 27 de outubro.
